Haha, cheers boys, after falling head over heels in love with this car i was fearing id have to break it or something, but with all the expense ive spared on restoring the mechanicals, interior and body, and the upgrades, id never be able to afford the  money for another (decent) base car.

Can you get repair panels ? Does anyone know what panelse are still available ?

Pff, nah, it wasnt alot of money, its a 20 yr old car and in need of alot of restoration, or was, now it just needs this sorting.

I would suggest everyone who wants to keep their RX7 for long has a serious inspection of their underside. Trust me, there wasnt a hole on this car at first glance, and it actually appeared reasonable, it was only when anally wire brushing to reunderseal that a bit just fell off, so i then started peeling , poking and brushing (as i like to do things properly) and this was the result. So yeah, basically, it looked fine, but this is what was actually hiding. And this was a UK car with extra underseal (but extra sal on the roads).

Cheers pete :Thumbs-up although some might say mine was too far gone :rollin mazda should have made rx\'s from titanium rust free light and stong, maybe a tad expensive though!

I now hate steel and welding but felt a good sense of accomplishment when done.
Get a mig welder some steel an patch her up, you\'ll also need a decent grinder with some thin cutting discs grinding discs and flap discs are well worth getting, also a drill with a wire brush bit.

good winter project!

Mine was the same, held together with rust then all hell broke loose when i started poking!

Looks like it might be the whole floorpan panel that you need.  If that\'s the case and you were wanting to buy a replacement I hope you still have both your kidneys as you might need to sell one of them to pay for it.
