Title: New rad has 2 inlets but i have 3 pipes?
Post by: rx-dave on September 21, 2010, 06:49:17 PM
Went to fit a new alloy radiator to an FD3S today but there is nowhere to fit the pipe from the bottom of the AST tank. The poorly rad has 2 inlets in the bottom and one at the top but the new one only has one on the top and one on the bottom........any ideas?? The FD is a 1997 car is this makes a difference?
Dave.

Been looking at aftermarket alloy rads on the net and all seem to have just one top and one bottom pipe fixing, anyone with any ideas :Hammer

You been sold the wrong rad then. All fds have the same fittings from 92-02. All aftermarket Fd rads I\'ve had always have the nipple for the ast pipe

Many thanks Jit, your advice is very much appreciated! Do you have any good rads available?
Dave.

No worries dude. You could always use the rad and eliminate the ast using an fc filler neck attachment? I don\'t have anything I\'m afraid... Well not one that I\'d want to split out of a Rad/IC combo!!!
