Well started stripping everything down for my single turbo project, got as far as the manifold heatshield because yup there all seized. Took forever to get the Turbo oil drain pipe off aswell. Dose the heatshield DEFO have to come off? i was thinking of raging the heatshield with brute force as its only getting skipped lol.

If you\'re just gonna bin it then just rip/cut it off. It\'s usually well rusted up anyway and not something people will want to buy second hand anyway.
Then you should be able to get the turbos off and manifold

I raged the first heat shields something cronic, had people coming over asking me what the hell im doing lol. Its handy living on as military camp i borrowed loads from MT haha!!! Ant i was hoping that would happen but 1 turn and half the bolt head just fell off so :reallymad. I\'ll be posting up a build thread next weekend its going to take me a while though.

Good luck with it. Are you having any engine work done seeing as you\'re going to the single life?

All done only took about 2 hours for the rest of it, amazed how much room i now have. Going to simplify the rats nest tonight (all of it gone lol) Has anyone cut all the connectors off for the rats nest solenoids? i was planning on chopping them all off as there brittle and falling apart then heatshrinking the wires and taping them up to the main loom.
