Looking at getting some decent brand tyres for Mot, cant really afford £400+ for new ones at the mo, maybe next year.
What\'s the general opinion on used tyres?
Would anyone bother with these

..doesn\'t say wether any side wall damage or puncture repair which would reduce the price further. There are circles and arrows on the tyre tread which would indicate repairs...168mph repaired tyre...?? :flamed?? personally I wouldn\'t....
Repair tyres are advised by some garages as makes no difference, but not so sure on high speed rated tyres. Saying that have used many part worns with no repair/damage and saved a fortune with no probs what so ever :yes 8mm=new tyre, 4mm=bargain, less than that is probably worth waiting for more tread depending on useage :Typing
:3gears-rh Happy hunting and brand tyres are always better than cheapies! might also get away with 235 on the back and 225 on front, but check :)
What size are you after?
Just got some 225 45 17 bridgestone re070 only a pair for £100 and ive got one good michelin primacy so i only need one 225 45 17 to go with it, preferably want another mich primacy or two 235 45 17\'s would be better and ill stick them on the back.
These are what i got today, puncture repaired but ive had a tyre repaired before and never had a problem with it, just an extra wear indicator!

RE070\'s are great tyres, but Are they for a daily? They are a track/occasional fast road biased tyre - will wear fast, and are, quite frankly, crap in the wet.
It\'s too late now, but imo you\'d be daft not to go with T1r\'s, which are about 65 quid a pop in that size brand new from Camskill.
No it\'s not my daily only going to use it in the dry aswell so should be ok there, id get r888\'s if i could afford so was pleased to see the re070 up for grabs :D
Might try the t1r next time as i shouldnt be in a rush to get it on the road before bad weather sets in (been over two years since i got to drive it), or maybe even get a set of winter tyres on the stock 16"s if i cant bring myself to put her away! :-)

I have a pair of 235,45,17 maxis tyres only done 200 miles can\'t remember the exact model but they were good only took them off to fit 18s you can have them for £100 the pair ( I can fit them for that if you want) give me a ring if you want 07950399080
