hi
as above.....
i have two sets of clocks...so i have changed them over and both sets are the same......also the mile meter has faded.
on the better set the rev counter bounces occasionally
is there a common fault to look for?
all help welcome
Mine is doing this aswell i have an electical fault which is probably why. Have you recently had it rebuilt?

it\'s been off the road for some time...
new engine in....single turbo and remap.
fuel / oil & water seem to be fine.
Yeah mine too. Hopefully after i get the electrical fault fixed and a remap it should cure it.
did you connect the connector on the engine loom which is just inside the car where the loom goes into the bulk head, i believe it is white. just double check it, best way is to just pull the big rubber gromit/engine loom back into the engine way you will see if it is still connected.
If it\'s an FD, I think it\'s a capacitor failure for the rev counter.
When you say faded so you mean it isn\'t on at all or is on when you put the key in the fades out when you start it?

Hey, do you have anymore info on this as the rev counter on my mazdaspeed clocks d1cks about too
It\'s a common thing. Had the problem with my 96 RS clocks (green dials) but was able to take the rev counter assembly out and replace the needle drive with a working one from a 93 car. Was a bit of faffing but managed to remove the needle and swap the faces so that I had all green illumination and not an orange rev counter in the middle.
I guess you could do this with yours too unless the MS clocks have a different range.
