Why is it you can never actually drive a rotary without something breaking, even if it\'s only really minor ?....
....on this occaision it would appear that my windscreen washer has packed up. Any suggestions as to why? Before the comedians emerge from the woodwork, yes, it has water in it, the whole pump seems to be dead, there\'s no whirring noise of it even trying to squirt water. Doesn\'t seem to be a separate fuse, anyone know better?
Like I said, minor, but extremely irritating fault. Help please! :wave
It is typical. My wheel nuts are now screwed!
Does sound like a fuse though not sure where it is though. I\'m guessing someone will have a pump laying around if it turns out to be the pump has failed.
hook the pump up directly to the battery see if it works , if it does you know its a break in the wiring
Presumably the pump is buried under the bottle somewhere is it? Which means taking the headlight out and all that does it?
Its at the base of the washer bottle nick, you should be able to access it by undoing the front of the arch liner. As Blitzy has said, hook up a 12v direct feed to test the pump.
Thanks Martin, sounds easier than having to take the whole job apart! Still not a five minute fix, though....I\'ll have a go tomoz.
Ahhh, forgot.... battery\'s in the boot now :Hammer May need some long wires :rollin
Or pull the pump out the bottle and take it to the battery mate! Its just a push fit with rubber seal so just be prepared for the bottle to p1ss on you! Will check the garage tomorrw to see if I have a spare if yours is fubared.
*sigh* one day I\'ll have a car that doesn\'t self-harm :rollin Think I should be up at yours Thursday for that exhaust anyway if that\'s cool?
Yes mate that sound be fine. :)
