Title: coolant issues
Post by: slater1982 on September 03, 2010, 07:43:24 PM
Ok guys, help please!!

I\'m getting a problem after turning the car off, its boiling in the expansion tank, but if i turn the ignition back on to kick the fans in for couple a minutes, it stops boiling. any ideas? firstly, Should the fans be on a permanent live or ignition live? does this often happen if they only on ign live? could this be signs of a terminally ill engine? i so really hope not!!!

Theres no emulsification of the oil or water, but for the first time today the coolant buzzer came on 2 seconds after startin the car, obviously turned straight off and refilled the ast and top hose caps., then seemed to be fine from then.

any help much appreeciated

Andy
