Title: Rear Bumper Removal
Post by: last.temptation on August 30, 2010, 12:44:11 PM
Hey guys,
I need to remove the rear bumper from a third generation RX-7? Can anyone tell me where the bolts are which hold the bumper on?

Cheers
LT

3 each side, One from underneath car each side, And 2x each side from the boot. You need to remove the plastic trim in the boot and the ecu , You can get your hand in and feel 2x long hexnuts each side, 12mm i think.

And the rear lights come off to expose the fixings across the top. remove the number plate aswell,  And then give it a good pull.

Got some pics when I took mine off:

Can see the three bolt holes at the side, along with where it fixes along to top edge.

You\'ll be left with this:

Hope that helps. :) Little hint too, once you\'ve taken the fixing screws out, the lights SLIDE sideways off the car. Took me a while to figure out lol.

Good luck. Don\'t drop the nuts inside the wing when you remove them ;)
