Hi guys, anyone know how you turn the boost up on powere fc?
the power fc unless you have the boost control solenoid aswell you cant adjust the boost!
Yes you can turn it up if it still has twins, but was it mapped for it?
Phil
You cant just turn It up or down on the pfc can you. I thought it was mechanically limited to .8 bar unless you have a boost controller.?
as ^^^ said. on standard twins there is no electronic boost control apexi boost control unit required

incorrect you have the factory stock boost solenoid, the Apexi ECU uses that, you can adjust upto 12 psi ok, past that the factory solenoid is not very good and tends to spike, either you can change the solenoid or go complete aftermaket controller
to the original question, you do it via the commander, by changing the duty cycle and boost cut levels
i stand very corrected 8-)

So if i set these to .5 bar thats when my wastegate will open. even though the spring opens at about .8 on my single tub? i would experiment but my cars always on axle stands.

You can\'t set the boost pressure lower than the wastegate spring, the solenoids work by not letting a certain amount of boost/vacuum to get to the actuator, so the actuator only receives a certain amount of boost determined by the boost controller. You can\'t over-ride the mechanical spring.

Its different for a single tub setup, you could plumb it up to work with the PFC but there are better controllers out there.

Ok, so how do i turn the boost up, but not to much to do any damage! is it easy? it was mapped by pip at wgt and he fitted the pfc.
you need a wideband at least before you turn the boost up as you wont know if you engine will run lean.
luckily pip maps very rich so you should have something to play with but i wouldnt turn up the boost without seeing your AFRs
page 28 on the commander manual (found in the technical stickies forum here) shows you how to do it.
But, as said - don\'t go turning up boost on a whim. Rexy is VERY susceptible to lunching herself when running lean. Although Pip does map conservatively, this will only get you so far. You defo need an AFR sensor before you do anything though.

I got it mapped with a de cat pipe so its all stright through, but still has stock downpipe. But im looking to fit a hks downpipe so dont think i will need to turn the boost up, because this downpipe if anything mite cause boost creep :3Confused but hopefully it wont! but i heard the power fc will prevent any damage. So would it be ok to put it on and try it and if i get boost creep then get the boost turned down!?:yes
Talk to you tuner Pip, dont risk you engine
spoke to him and he says it will make a difference and will be better if it gets checked. :3Confused
