Post by: brundish24 on August 26, 2010, 06:42:18 PM
would stock 850cc secondary injectors directly fit in to the primary rail?

yeah, but normally you machine 2-3 mm off the rail 1st as the secondaries are shorter. i have 2 secondaries if you need

havent a clue, but like schnitzel says, you have to just mill off 3mm off your primary rail then the 850cc drop straight in, thats what i did and havent had any issues at all

you have to disconnect the fuel lines to take of the primary rail, so yes any pressure in the system will be released, get a small cloth around the fuel pipe as you disconnect it if your concerned, i just pulled it off and it didnt spit any fuel at me

just went to a local engineering company and asked them, id do it myself but my dad got rid of our milling and lathe when he sold the house and i had nowhere to put it :(

they charged me £5 and did it infront of me, thats in stoke, try google a local engineering place and im sure they would do it for you

once youve installed it, give me a shout and ill put you a tune on it, do you have a wideband yet?

£5. That\'s a no brainer. I see some of the guys have sanded the part down using sand paper and stuff http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=806494

I can lay my hands on a WB, Do you have a datalogit at your place then?.

you could do it by hand if you want, measure it with some calipers.

tape some rough sandpaper to a flat table then rub the face until its ground down to required size.....will take you a long time to do 3mm though!!!

Id let you borrow my wideband but its connected into the midpipe and you would need to get a something to put it in the exhaust.

i tune off the commander, its quicker with datalogit but ive learned to be pretty good with changes on it.

should be able to map it in an afternoon for you, plus its good to learn incase you want to make an changes in the future which i can teach you

Thanks for the offer mate. Hopefully i think i have the mapping sorted for now as another chap off here has the same spec car as mine and lives locally, so were gonna try sharing the map on both cars, then maybe tweaking mine a little. Will see how it goes.
