hey guys can anyone tell me where i can get an omp blanking plate from, and what the thread is that omp lines use? i am looking at making a new setup that uses the origional omp connected to a tank containing 2 stroke, instead of premixing
has anyone done this before? does anyone know if the origional omp would add the correct ammount when using 2 stroke because i know people use alot of different mixes
any help would be appreciated
the RA OMP adaptor has been around for a while: you can find it here (http://www.rotaryaviation.com/oil_injector_pump_adaptors.htm)
Danny (DM Motorsport) can supply you with a standard blanking plate to remove the OMP and any hose supplier should be able to replicate your lines with braided ones.
tbh, for all the hassle it\'s easier to stick half a can of 2t in the tank on fill up.
i know this sounds like a silly noob question but i do need the one for the 13b electrical right? lol
If you\'re still undecided, I would consider if there\'s somewhere else on the car you\'d be better off spending the money.
The OMP jet only sprays oil primarily on the apex tip surface, if you just stick 2stroke into the fuel tank its fired into chamber and gets spread around with the atomised fuel. This hits all the surfaces the air/fuel mixture would touch, better lubricating the corner/side seals too. In terms of the quantity of oil delivered, putting it in with the fuel means that as the fuel requirements of the car go up (i.e. when increased power), so does the lubrication provided. As far as I know there isn\'t a simple way to control the omp\'s delivery to match the increased engine stress.
Also what were you planning to do about the oil reservior tank? What capacity? Ideally It would need to be baffled and definately have a low (/medium!) level warning sensor. Otherwise you will need to check it every time you drive, in which case it would probably less hassle just to premix when you fill up!
And, yes it\'s the electric one.
Top marks Ben!
