im changing the rear pads and got them out and the new ones on but i cant get the caliper back over the pads i\'ve tried using a g clamp to push the piston back in but wont go back any further, what am i doin wrong?
try taking the pads off and push the piston back with the clamp u can put more pressure on it that way and the pad wont brake
Have you tried turning the piston clockwise to push it back?
You wont be able to push them back the rears need winding back
Edit:- As above
arrrrrr thank you so much

(mods why cant we edit posts?)
you cant edit posts after a certain time because in the past people have had arguements and then come back and modified the posts .. so we stopped it :D :D
and thats what i have - bought it from the local motor factors - not sure of the spacing though
someone once used the tool to get the disc out of a angle grinder - said it worked fine ???
angle grinder disk release tool- you really are mrc tightarse! i\'ll have to check that tomorrow after work!
ahhhhhhhhhhhh wasnt me though mate !! - i just read about it on here
thinking about it - in theory it should work
i suppose if you were handy in the DIY dept you could get a small piece of steel - drill 2 holes in it and put some little bolts thru that have the correct spacing and then use that for winding them in ?
will you lot stop p!ssing around with pikey DIY tools! Spend the £20 on the caliper winding tool and do it properly!
It\'ll be a lot more expensive if you bust a piston / seal..... :P :P
nope £20 quid will give me enough fuel to do a couple of laps round castle combe lol
