Title: Balancing and lightening rotors
Post by: Grant Monkhouse on August 24, 2010, 07:32:18 AM
How much does it cost to have rotor lightened and the rotating assembly balanced, just getting costs together for a single turbo build for my brother, as after I beat him each time down the strip at pod he wants to make sure that doesn\'t happen.

I\'m not sure about lightening the rotors - but balancing all the moving bits - rotors, e-shaft, and clutch assembly cost me around £300.:)

who did the balancing Suba? i seem to recall there was some debate in the past about how to do it, as the bob weights (or something) werent the same for a piston engine. how high can you rev it with a balanced assembly?

I potentially have a set of lightened and balanced rotors complete with counter weights.  LC rotors though.  And the balancing is exceptional!
