hey guys , im new to here , i work for silverstone autosport (previously lindops motosport )
The lads have got a few 7ns for spares , and they have had a black second gen 7 for 3 years standing ,
to cut a long story short , they needing the egi engine castings for a monster projet they are doing ...
So that was the end of the second gen , so i said can i have it , and the answer of yeah why not ..
So im the owner of a cool second gen ....... but minus a engine ......... so if anyone has a egi engine floating around i could do with one .....
Its next stop will be the mad professors engine room to do some porting ......
do you think i should do a project thread ???????
any thoughts let me know
cheers rich
Project thread........
Hell yeah!
Welcome aboard the mad world of 2nd gens :)
its well cool to be fair , just dont like admitting it hahaha , im a flat 4 man im sorry , but the crazy things that rotas do make me smile/
Even more so when your behind the wheel. I know when the day comes that my FC finally dies or has to be sold, I\'ll be so upset. I don\'t know any other car that could give me as much fun for the money and be so rare.
ive driven plenty of fd\'s but not a fc , im looking forward to it .

Its ok, the 2nd gen will show the error of your ways *shudder* silly pistons :P forged internals? Whats that?...Oh so its the valves that mean it can\'t rev higher than 7k?...what are valves :D
Welcome in :) feel free to ask lots of questions :)
check out FC3Spro for lots of tricks and tips, or indeed 1300cc
hahahah , um , im not totally convinced but they are trying there hardest at work to change me hahaha ,

Well put it this way, I bought an RX7 due to how efficiently the engine makes its power, 13b turbo engine can make up to 900bhp :) so thats about 700bhp per litre of displacement :) rotaries are the replacement for displacement :D
Its ok :) you will get it soon once you get that engine in, why would you want a reciprocal motion to make the driveshaft round, surely rotary motion is needed :) its such a smooth engine, and the upside is that the more you rev the engine, the better the engine seals and the more oil the engine gets :)
We got a Ex works GPB Mazda RX7 which, along with our Rotary Engine MK2 Escort thats cool , non turbo producing 285bhp , to be fair that goes like fu@k (fu@k)
I used to be a fan of RB engines. I was looking for a silvia(too young for skylines according to insurance...) before but ended up buying the FC somehow. Even with the stupid MPG i still love driving the FC. rotary is just so much better and more efficient. I\'m sure most of you guys taken apart a piston engine. So much junk that they have to move before they can make the power! I really wish i can design a new improved rotary when i finish my automotive degree! without competition mazda\'s development is slower comapre to the pistons development.
Do a project thread! it would be interesting:)
welcome to the FC world! I\'m sure you will love it :)

OK im scared !?!?!??!
hey guys , just a bit of a update , does anyone know what sort of power i could get running a 6 port egi with standard managment but bridgeported ????????
cheers rich
Well don\'t forget that when you start to increase the size of the ports you do so for one good reason and thats to make more BHP, that alone will not be enough as you will need more fuel, air, bigger injectors etc etc. That lot will need some sort of fuel/ignition managment so it may well be worth doing some good research before you plunge in head first.
Did you manage to get an engine for this? If not I am thinking about breaking one of my EGI\'s and might consider selling the engine.
Just weighing up my options at the moment.
Good luck with whatever you end up doing though :)
