Title: Aggressive wheel Cleaners ?
Post by: Koose on August 17, 2010, 08:44:54 PM
Hi guys

Just tried some Megs Hotwheels on my FC3S diamond cuts, but the grime is 5 yrs set in, anyone know of any very agressive stuff to shift ?

Hints on getting them looking nice for cheap ?

Mark

Could try autosmart. Or polish them with some cutting compound.

If there\'s 5 years of grime on \'diamond cut\' wheels, no amount of cleaner will fix it :(
They\'ll need stripping back to the bare alloy and repolishing :(

Diamond cut is a pain to clean, to rid of most use Bilberry Wheel cleaner and then some autosol, but you will still end up with black specs on the wheel.

If you are ever in South Wales i\'ve got a really good acid, it\'ll bring up the Titanic to a newish finish!!! If you\'ve never cleaned them though they\'ll need a re-furb as pointed out but the acid i use will certainly make them look a whole lot better :Thumbs-up
