I\'m  finally going to pick it up tomorrow and i was wondering how much two-stroke to put in when i fill it up to bring it back? any help would be  great and i do apologise if this has been covered before (i did have a quick search but didnt seem to find anything) as i said i\'m  newbie here please be gentle ha ha and look forward to meeting some of you who are attending Rotostock

Hi Dave,
welcome to the forum.
If it\'s a standard car, which is probably is, you don\'t need to put any 2 stroke in with the fuel, just put ordinary unleaded fuel in and you\'re good to go.

The rotary engine has an oil metering pump which draws a measured amount of engine oil from the engine and pumps it into the inlet. This is then drawn into the engine and lubricates the rotor seals.

All you need to do is check the engine oil level every week or so, the level will drop gradually as the metering pump draws the oil from the engine.

Some owners put a bit of extra oil into the tank with the fuel but this is mainly racers in track cars and I don\'t think there\'s any benefit to doing this in a road car if the metering pump is ok.

Any questions you have or advice you need, feel free to ask away, there\'s loads of experience and knowledge on here.
It\'s a real friendly forum.

Hi Ian, cheers for the advice. The car isnt standard as it has been used for drifting. It has had the OMP blocked off and the previous owner has been running it premixed, he did tell us the ratio (but we forgot..)

Hopefully it\'ll make it to Rotorstock. Daves just got to the garage to get the track rod end changed and get it retested and the part is apparently the wrong one, brilliant!

Hi Guys, I use 80ml of Millers KB2T premixed with every 20litres of fuel for general street use. That\'s 250:1, BUT MY OMP IS WORKING, (I just worry that with the engine being 25 years old the OMP might pack up).

So I would suggest that FOR NO OMP, Mix at about 100:1 or maybe 150:1.

Anybody else got a view on this?

Dave

And Jacko, Please can I have the Reg of the FB for my Register. Did you say somewhere it was Blue?

You can email me if you don\'t want to put the Reg up on the net.... dgnock at bt openworld dot com

If you don\'t want to give the Reg that\'s fine. But I have been trying to track a Blue car in Rugby for quite some time. I might have it on my Register already, might not.

Sounds about right Dave for the premix, if it smokes reduce it a little.
Premixing must be better as it acts as a lubricant even after its burnt (so im told)
Keith...

Hi Dave and welcome to the most prestigious owners club of them all.  What a choice for your first leap into the rotary engine fraternity, with only about 5 dozen of the 1st Gen Series 2 remaining you have a big responsibility there.  Happy motoring.

Glad he was made to feel welcome. It was nice to put some faces to names, would have been nice to have met some more of the first gen owners.

Well I\'m still working on \'JAZ\' and getting closer to completion despite hitting a few snags along the way.  So maybe end of Sept it\'ll be roadworthy - then I\'ll get to some of the meets and meet you guys.
