Title: Rear Lights Removal
Post by: PDale on August 08, 2010, 01:00:01 PM
I thought this would be easy but I am having trouble taking them off. I have undone the 3 screws above the light and removed the plastic. I have tried sliding them outwards but they seem to be stuck. Any ideas as they are not budging at all?

on the light bar you have a cover undo the screw s then there are 4 10 mm nuts holding the center section on either side the lights have two phillips screws in top then use a big flat head or trim tool and apply preasure to the back of the lights they will pop out wards

undo the screws and then slide the unit not backwards but to the side. by popping them outwards u risk damaging the back of thelight

Cheers for the advice guys. Well it turns out there are 2 different versions of fittings on the back of the lights. The aftermarket ones I took off had \'popper\' type fittings so had to pull off with some force. The original Mazda lights I was fitting had the slide type fitting on the back. All done now, thanks guys.
