Title: boost problem who the clever one
Post by: lotuscorsa on August 07, 2010, 01:02:58 PM
Right here go\'s
When driving the first turbo boosts up fine to 0.6 0.7 then drops off on the gauge when the second turbo spools up and that peaks at 0.4 never use to any idea\'s

sounds like wastegate pressure but your getting good pressure on the primary so ill wager a rats nest hose has popped off/split or intercooler pipe loose/split.

I\'ll second that, went through the same thing myself. My cure was to go full non sequential with a boost controller and not a prob since

Sorry lee but i cannot agree as I dont see swapping to non-seq as curing the problem and the twin sequential system is heaps better imo than the non-sequential conversion. Non-seq is ever so slightly better fuel consumption and it seems to work well for drifters with the power coming in all at once but for a street car the sequential system is awesome.

my advice would be to get the standard sequential system working correctly.

Fair point, my road going car is still sequential and I wouldn\'t change it. But For the drift car I perfere the non. well if you want to keep the sequential I\'d do as neil suggest, but if your maybe planning to go single turbo a little down the line then maybe look into doing the full non sequential to remove possible probs. And another one that I found when I bought my car was that the spark plugs were loose so on the upper reves I\'d loose power from it leakin there. Maybe that will help

Hey,

As Neil has said it sounds like a pipe has popped off, or a one-way pill has broken, or a solenoid is knackered.
Pipes and pills are easy to check so do those first.
