Hello chaps,
I am in the process of acquiring a \'91 RX7 import. It\'s got a bit of history so for that reason I am going to have to change the locks and ignition barrel. (locks because I don\'t have a key and I think they\'re rotten - ignition barrel because some monkey has tried to disassemble it!).
Now, I haven\'t got the time or the skills to try and do this stuff myself so I\'m gonna get a garage to do it. I was just wondering roughly how much this would cost? For parts and how many hours labour?
Also, what areas of the car should I be worried about? It\'s had a rather dubious past and has been sat for about 3 years now. My plan is to just give it straight to a garage (hopefully a specialist performance garage if I can afford it - I\'ve used Neil Garner (http://www.neilgarner.co.uk/) quite a lot, who apparently have done a lot of work on the car in the past) and get them to go over it with a fine tooth combe. Anything I should get them to check specifically?
Any help/advice is greatly appreciated :D
