Title: Loose Batteries!
Post by: Sean on May 22, 2004, 12:20:31 PM
I wish to run at Rotorstock, but after checking my car over to make cirtain it\'s good for it, I noticed that my battery has nothing to make it stay put ......... I\'ve been thrashing it all this time with my battery leaning towards the power steering pullies!!!!(http://www.stopstart.freeserve.co.uk/smilie/vscared.gif)

Can anyone help / know where to get something / has a pic of what should be there.

Thank you please!

here\'s what mine looked like Japan side, looks like it\'s a fairly usual 2 long bolts with a thingy (Si uses his expert mechanical terms once more ) on top bolted onto said er bolts....to hold battery in place.
Can see a couple of strappy bits too dunno whether they\'re for lifting battery out or owt.......
Si (dunno owt but here\'s pikky)

So I need a bar thingy, two long bolt thingys and what looks like a couple wing nut thingys.

(http://www.stopstart.freeserve.co.uk/smilie/notworthy.gif) Thank you Si ........ another lesson well learned from the smilie master(http://www.stopstart.freeserve.co.uk/smilie/smokin.gif)

Just let me know if I over do it(http://www.stopstart.freeserve.co.uk/smilie/wink2.gif)

on a serious note does your battery sit on like a er battery seat (daddy of technical terms strikes again) which has the necessary holes either side of where battery sits for the bolt wotsits to go into?
Si
PS wing nuts r those with like ears aint they these are just normal nuts i believe.....

I had this problem aswell. You can get a battery securing kit from halfords which works a treat :) it just needs a bit of hacksaw work to make it fit (it\'s a universal jobby so it\'s way too big)
about a fiver I think :cool

erm no idea wot that is mate could be another universe for all i no
Ref yer smilie link if you see yer message you have [ url ] & [ /url ] around the location rather than [ img ] & [ /img] which would make it appear as an image (less all the spaces i put in as well of course)
