Title: Where do folk get there mineral oil from
Post by: geoffersmaher on June 24, 2010, 06:37:01 PM
New to the rx scene. ( just got an fc vert yesterday :) )
and wanted to do a service
and I was just wondering where folk got trainable stuff from.
Ie any links to opie.
Just tried and tested stuff.
The engine is standard. Turbo 11 13b

Also what fuel filtees do folk go for

sorry if this has been asked before but I had a little search an all I could see was synth or mineral battles.

Thanks again guys. And also I will have an intro thread and pics up latter tonight

Castrol GTX 10-40W is the daddy but it seems like its been discontinued. You can still get it some places though.
I did my last oil change with some Mobil mineral that Halfauds had in as it seemed like the nearest oil to the GTX.

Always use Halfrauds meself, and just change it frequently :Thumbs-up. My problem was getting it to stay in the engine, not what it did whilst it was in there :Giggle

I\'ve used Halfords too in the past with no problem (only 2 rebuild :p)
Give Opie a call and they\'ll advice you on what you need though if you\'re unsure
