Title: soft break pedal
Post by: Red Leader on June 22, 2010, 05:39:49 PM
When i first push the break pedal it feels a little soft, on second push its hard. I have brided hoses and pads all round are near new. The brake cap does have a crack in it however.

Could anyone point me in the right direction?

I had the same and after multiple brake bleeding attempts, a new master cylinder sorted it. Just make sure the new cylinder is properly bench bled before fitting and worth doing a full fluid flush at the same time.

Did you bleed the brakes fully when you changed the lines? I think there are 2 bleed holes, one fills the calipers up if you have had to change lines and the other is used for bleeding.

Yes the system was fully bleed. This has only started in the last few months the lines were charged over 3 years ago.

Are you able to tell me the best place to buy a new master cylinder.

Thanks for the swift relies
