Hi guys,
Been trying to get hold of some NGK BUR7EQP\'s. According to NGK UK they don\'t do them in the UK? Is this right?
Where do people on this forum source them from?
Mike.
try one of the specialists or Mazda
WGT , Rotechnics, RE Worx, RX motors ...
have just gone for the br10et (i think) spark plugs for my turbo II from local mazda dealership (seem to know f\'all about rx\'s but ok if you tell them exactly what you want) and they were about £7 inc vat each...
...you could also try J and Sons in Kidlington near Oxford... (they are in Yellow pages) ...If you tell them Ben from Leicester sent you; If they wont post, I can pick some up when Im next back and post them on or something... ...Those guys have/can get (within 24hrs) everything, and are really helpful; managed to get a cam belt for my 16v mini from them within 6hrs once!

ben, what you got in there

We are getting them in USA or Canada, usually around $6 USD per plug.....
Naïve in the extreme, I paid over £10 for each NGK BR8ET from Halfords !
At that price I wondered if in fact they were selling me the whole company as a going concern.
Anyway I smiled and paid up.
I think I paid £21 for 4 from Mazda

My first gen1 rx7 engine used BR7EQ plugs which I had to get imported. (Can\'t remember where from now though.) NGK said the same thing about them.
Anyway, I\'ve got a box with 6 brand new BR7EQ plugs in it if anyone needs that plug. 4 electrodes around central one. (£10 plus p+p would be fine.)
Cheers,
Martin.
my mini is now living in japan with some collector or other, but he has the std 970 engine, I still have the loony one; most of the trick bits are now on my mums 1999 cooper brooklands...
the spec when I finished modding it...
1963 OEW cooper S with dark green roof
16pt safety devices weld in cage
atl fuel cell
facet fuel pump
gaz adj. coil-over spring/dampers (4 on front, 2 on back)
6 pot alloy calipers, vented disks on front
4 pot alloy calipers, solid disks on back
beam axle at rear
1480cc swiftune block
16v KAD crossflow head
webber alpha throttle bodies or twin 48 DCOE webbers or quad minouki carbs (from a kwack zzr-1100) (depending on how I felt at the time)
Special Tuning 6-spd c/r/s/c dog \'box
sailsbury LSD
equal length hardy spicer drive shafts
etc., etc...
there is far too much to remember, let alone list...
it was giving between 155 and 170hp at wheels (5x10" steel reverse rims!) depending on carbs and set-up, but most of the time gave about 25bhp, as the carbs would never stay balanced for long... ...hence switch to throttle bodies, but the sound was never the same :D
unfortunately let the car go, and put the money down on a house... ...stupid, stupid, stupid....

The webpage is down, but I have somewhere an interesting article by Paul Yaw on this subject. I\'ll try and dig it up over the weekend. All NA related.
Basically there are a number of plugs you can use that are cheaper and readily available IF you don\'t mind making your own side fire mods.
One day I\'ll be really sad and dyno some of the modded plugs for a laugh.
