Title: Compression results...
Post by: leggysrx7 on June 13, 2010, 07:24:37 PM
Guys,

I may be coming back to the fold if/when I can get my S2000 sold.

I\'ve been checking out various FD\'s that have been for sale over the past couple of months. I had requested the results of a recent compression test and this is what I got back

Front Chamber 92psi, 93 psi, 97psi
Rear Chamber 92psi, 97psi, 100 psi

Knowledgable advice anyone? He didnt say what rpm these were done at. I had a couple of FD\'s over the past 5/6 years but i\'ve always had test results using a proper rotary compression checker (thats my technical name for it lol)

Cheers

Where was the compression test done? What RPM and was the engine hot when it was done?

Range from 6.4 bar to 6.8 bar. Not bad but not setting world on fire either

Test was done in 2008 so I can only imagine further loss of compression. I\'d need to get it redone by wgt or by another rotary specialist. Car based in North Yorkshire. I\'ve posted link in \'rotary chit chat\'
