Title: Insurance
Post by: captainbizzaro on June 13, 2010, 09:38:09 AM
Just to let anyone know who is about to renew, or get new insurance I have got a classic policy covering me up to 3000 miles per year, no claims bonus doesn\'t count on the majority of classic policies so no need to worry about that.

To give you an idea I\'m 30, driving for 13 years and car garaged in low risk post code.

A-Plan sorted me out for £110 fully comp with £50 excess which I thought was pretty good considering some of the comparison sites were popping up quotes around the £800 mark.

That\'s a very good deal...
I\'m with Footman James and pay £115.95 fully comp for me and the wife to drive, 3000 miles with a £100 XS on a classic car policy.
I too live in a low risk postcode area and garage the car.
I\'m 45, have been driving 28 years but I\'ve got more points than Chelsea!

That\'s a good price.
I\'m 42,clean license,driving for 24 years,AON charge me £157.93 unlimited miles.
Not agreed value either, just market value if damaged.
£100 excess for damage & fire,£40 excess for windscreen.
I think i\'ll try A-Plan!

Shouldn\'t be too bad Ross, I had my first series 2 when I was 20 and I don\'t remember it being too horrific as that was on a classic policy also.

I\'m with one call insurance, I\'m 34 been driving for 17 years and have 6 points. It covers me for 5000 miles per year and also got free breakdown call out being up to 3 per year. With a £50 excess worked out at £143 for the year fully comp.

I\'m with RH Specialist (classical car specialist) and they currently charge me £36 for \'SORN\' but have quoted £105 for 3000K, low excess - thought this was good.  Cliff
