Title: Jacking points
Post by: nbates on June 12, 2010, 11:40:07 AM
I have tried searching but not found anything. Can anyone tell me where the standard jacking points are on an FD and where is safe to use a trolley jack?

Cheers

Nick

In the front the engine frame is nice and sturdy. The easiest place is the bar in front of the oilpan on the frame. Put the axle stands under the suspension pickup on the same frame.

One the rear jackup under the Differential. Place the axle stands under the 2 lower mounts for the rear suspension with the stand running side to side

Thanks guys. I have now worked out that you need to use * as a wild card when searching. Searching for "jacking point" returns nothing but "jacking point*" returns "jacking points". Perhaps I will have more luck searching in future!
