Yup, as the subject says! She\'s flooded again, and i can\'t start her using the method as stated in the manual (Foot off gas for 10seconds, foot on gas for 10 seconds, repeat). I\'m gonna have to unflooded her the difficult way - plugs out, etc. Not really looking forward to that, but she needs to be started! she\'s been sat flooded for 3 weeks now, as i haven\'t had time to sort her out! Poor ol\' gal!
grrrrrr.....
Just thought i\'d share my misery!!
oddness! *touch wood* mines never flooded since i\'ve had it
You haven\'t got a duff cat have ya?
I was just thinking that Ive never flooded one either - how do you manage it :o
I don\'t think so. She flooded under the classic circumstances: Didn\'t let her warm up properly the last time she was started.
I do that loads too, like just starting for 10 secs to move a parking space (its a mare where I live) and ive still never had a problem
me either. What plugs do you run mate...
mine never did it on 7x9\'s and just for a giggle i\'m trying 9x9\'s and it\'s still doesn\'t do it :(
9x9 IIRC
nikp,
Try removing the fuel injection fuse, turning her over a couple of times and she should start. If she has been flooded that long, i reckon the plugs need to come out for a clean, as you won´t get any spark through damp plug.

...but I flooded my old merc by just moving it a few yards and switching off.
Before you flay me, I know the piston engine is a world away from the rotary!>
It didn;t flood in the traditional sense and rectification was similar, off gas and try to start, on gasfor a bit, off gas etc....
caned the battery and gave me another bloody problem. The AA guy came out and reckoned that it wasn;t flooder per se, just it\';s still called that, basically, there was no compression.
You checked the compression and oil?
