Hi all
Does Mazda do a complete strip down kit for the rotary??
Every other car I\'ve owned you can buy a bottom end, top end or complete gasket/seal kit for a rebuild and I wondered if Mazda did the same??
Hopefully I won\'t be needing one but I generally like to have one to hand anyway just in case :D
If they do do one has anyone got a part number so i can order one and a price.
Thanks
dunno if mazda do them but from what i\'ve experienced, when considering rx7\'s they don\'t wanna know.. i\'d be shocked if they did!
however.. I think you can get one from http://www.hurley-engineering.ltd.uk (http://www.hurley-engineering.ltd.uk) if you click this link (http://www.hurley-engineering.ltd.uk/engrebk.aspx)
(Si bites Hurley hating lip) although i have herd some dubious comments about their tips as well as their service......
Si would know more than me here, never had anything to do with them... si ya lips bleeding!
If they suck can always get them elsewhere. If no where good does them here, could always try the Old US of A :D
Check this thread:
[2 mm and 3 mm RA Apex Seals (http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6040&highlight=rotary+aviation)
and their website is:
[Rotary Aviation Rebuild Kits (http://www.rotaryaviation.com./overhaul_kits.htm)
I\'m just about to order a kit from rotary aviation if you want to save on shipping?
Regards,
Paul:)
Mazda want 426 + vat for a complete set of gaskets, never mind apex seals.
...and get this, they want 4279 for a short engine, and all of that with VAT added on :rollin :rollin
