Post by: monterx7 on June 06, 2010, 01:43:51 AM
my o2 sensor wire broke off at the connector point and i cant seem to find where it routes to.  can someone please post a pic of where the wire joins the rest of the wire harness or the routing of the 02 sensor.

thanks for any help you can give

What\'s the car - EGI or TII ?

On the TII - the O2 wire goes from the sensor and joins the loom at the front of the Lower Inlet Manifold - for me the easiest way to find it is to follow the BAC valve wire down to where it joins - the single wire coming from there is the O2 wire.

On an EGI, the BAC valve is in a different place, but the O2 wire would probably still come from the front of the LIM.

Look down and behind the upper water hose to find it.

Failing that, post up a pic.

I have a O2 sensor you can have. I\'ll bring it with me when I see you next.
The O2 wiring will come straight of the sensor and up towards the back of the alternator and forms part of that loom under the manifold. Breaking off at the sensor is common as at the plug connector as well.
I have tried messing with the sensors when they break off on the very tops of them but to no luck, at the connector I have just made my own.. A universal sensor with single wire works well or you can just have an original for free.

Or as in your case you can just make your own connector or even just join it without if you want a quick fix.
