How much have you guys spent on going single? I don\'t intend on rushing my build as i need money to live. So far ive got the PFC and T51r kit so quite a way to go.
that tub is too big for standard ports sell your turbo and get something with a small hotside that will spool quick and make 420 ish fwhp your t51r will maybe make that but spool will be sloooow and you wont get the benefit.
if you keep the t51 r, get your engine rebuilt with PTS seals and a bridge port (thats how im going) say 2500 quid if you build it yourself plus another 1500 to 4000 on ancilliaries and thats if you do the work yourself.
i have to4r with a .8 hotside standard ports and have spent 3500-4000 on going single and thats with bargains aplenty.
I have no idea how much I\'ve spent. I never want to add it up. It\'s a lot. A lot more than I first thought.
If you want to do it properly, it\'s not cheap at all.
I forgot to mention im going for the Full bridgeport, havent even considered sticking the t51 on my stock ports lol would be a little silly in my eyes. I used to be a Mazda Technician so apart from the engine rebuild (would like a warranty) i\'ll fit most bits myself.
Sih i recently went through your build page on FDUK, amazing work i can see me asking questions on the wiring loom as i intend on making everything neater.
well choosing a very expensive turbo setup doesnt help when it comes to costs lol
stick the t51 on the stock ports and see what it does... just for ....s and giggles lol

Ive seen the youtube video of that, im pretty sure it said it was when it was first fitted. The engine in mine atm has less than 30k since new back in 1992 so i dont want to abuse the quiet life it\'s had by sticking a t51 on it lol. Like i said im in no rush and i should be getting a large chunk of money next year after another 6 month tour along with a retention bonus so thats something that will defo come in handy.
why are you thinking about a t51r kit, they cost a fortune!! you could get something much cheaper that will give the same sort of power
think he already has it
