Title: Car passed MOT
Post by: pdtaylor18 on June 01, 2010, 01:34:29 PM
Well its only done 3K since the last MOT but car passed with flying colours.

The emissions were very high but thats only because of the map thats in it and basically un-tuned. As i had time I had a mess with different maps and although I picked two that were quite different in IGL etc the emissions hovered around the 5%CO. I did however start to tune on the fly and got this down by taking fuel away with my datalogit software til it passed. Idle was crap but it soon went onto another map for the journey home.
This car has no emissions crap on it at all.
So at least another rotary on the road and I can start planning some shows.

Need a really good dyno/tuning session now, that will wait til I am down in Wiltshire and then I can visit Carl. I have been promoted and posted so Wiltshire (RAF Lyneham- C130\'s) will now be my main home which is cool as its closer to most of the shows.

Yes with the HKS GT3037, Still lots to do with regards the mapping but it will get there. I am driving rather light footed until I am happy.
One of my problems is that the Innovate wideband keeps dropping out of cal, its a balls ache to recal as you are suppose to take it out in free air etc etc. I might just get rid of that system and opt for something else.

Good news Pete, well done mate! Nice to find an MOT station that\'ll allow you to map on-the-fly! Mind you, the one I use might do so too, they\'re pretty friendly.

Get more piccies up of the beasty!
