Title: Starting problems
Post by: dturpin on May 19, 2004, 01:29:15 PM
I am having problems with my FD not starting, it turns over fine but just won\'t fire up.  Could it be flooding, even though I left it over night and it wouldn\'t start in the morning?

Also a couple of time when I have been out driving I loose all response from the accelerater, and then it comes back anyone got any ideas on this?

It could well be flooded - have you tried the de-flooding procedure, and how long did you run the car last time you started it?

At what revs do you lose acceleration?

I can\'t really remember but I think it was about 4000rpm as I wasn\'t in the second turbo.
I was just rrying to start it and it still wouldn\'t, I left I while I had a fag the tried it again and it started straight away, so I took it out for a drive and it goes fine, it was popping a bit when I let off and changed down, so could that of been it burning off the un-used fuel?  And since it has started twice with no problem.
