its no good to me as it will get in the way of my turbocharger, i did show him a kit from tweak it racing from usa that he could copy as its designed for big turbo fds in mind but he never bothered with it, so gonna have to go down this route.

I can buy it from usa but im looking at £150 by the time i get it here.

Just trying to find a cheap pulley kit now

I have seen an FC and indeed DM motorsport just use an idler pulley where the air pump was, same belts, no issue with the water pump and more room :)

yeh but the turbo im going for has a massive compressor housing, like this below

hence theres no room for his kit

Thats a really silly place to put a turbo :P im planning to mount mine through a small slot in the bonnet lol

I would go for a double pulley and apparently the fan belt off a classic mini fits.

What power is that running? How did you calculate the correct volume for the upper inlet manifold btw?

suppose the turbo can go further forward like on alot of setups.

ive just done a bit more research and seems like a 780mm 5 tooth belt is what i want, have to see if i can get them from halfords.

Its running 671bhp at 22.5psi of boost but should be up to 30-32psi of boost later on in the year.

Calculating volume is easy, theres a thread on rx7club about it, ill see if i can find it

Also look for a \'gimler\' pulley setup :)

Here is such a set up on a 1st gen I believe - don\'t think getting drive is an issue!

that wont work on a fd as the waterpump turns in the opposite direction

that one doesnt look anything like the gilmer one here it is below

The one in the pic looks like a custom made one using a supercharger belt, im guessing in the usa supercharger belts can be made to any size and pulleys can be bought in many sizes so is probably a cheap alternative for them.
