Title: Passenger window problem
Post by: T78_FD3S on May 18, 2010, 06:12:35 PM
Im fairly new to the club just wondered if anyone can help, i have been having some problems with my passenger side window on my FD. When i brough the car not too long ago the passenger window would not go up or down from the passenger side button however would from the drivers side switch, a few days later it just stopped all together and didnt work from either switch, i am going to strip it all apart at the weekend and have a look just wondered if there are any know problems with the switches etc which may save me some time, any help would be much appreciated.

I had this problem and it was water ingress getting inside the door and it cooked the alarm box which controls the windows.....replaced this and all fine again so have a look for any water damaged components inside the door.

Funny you should say that it looks like it has had water getting in at some point in its life however it doesnt get water in now. You say the alarm box i dont have a standard alarm on it. Also the drivers side window works fine though
