Hi, just noted Liams request for info about keypad immobilisers.
I can\'t help there, but it has prompted me to ask a question?
My car arrived with a little arial attached to the top of the dash on the nearside. When I bought it I was told it was a remote starter and that the keypad or whatever, was missing. Is it possible to get another one, or should I bin the lot of it and fill in the hole in the dash ??? :3Confused
it\'s not necessarily a remote starter (ie press a button and engine remote starts)
i got a cheap made in china remote alarm (locking, unlocking, boot popper) and that came with a mini Ariel and they suggest in the instructions to mount it on the windscreen x by y away from the side of the windscreen.
so might just be remote locking.

Liam thanks for your reply, looks like it may well be locking and not remote start-up. Guess I\'ll need to take the passenger door card off to find out. Could be handy if solenoids etc are already in place. as I may be able to use whatever is there for central locking?

oh, if its all in place then might be worth trying to find out the make.
then can replace the main unit (prob look like a box thats bit linger wider than a cig packet) with a new one?
My alarm has remote start but also a keypad on the window that I can program to open the doors if needed - havn\'t bothered with that feature yet, but I have an aerial with a proximity sensor on one side and a keypad on the other :)
