I think t-cut is as good as anything unless your going to mop the car in which car get some professional compound.
It\'s difficult on a metallic paint finish, I\'ve found most compounds for these finishes are very gentle so that they don\'t remove the clearcoat but by being this way, they are as good as useless really.
Unless anyone knows any different..
My metallic black RX has loads of tiny scratches in the clearcoat, I\'d love to find some miracle stuff that restores it.
Anyone???

Ian I don\'t supose you know a supplier of the K3 sunbeam silver do you.
think Dave said he\'d got a few aerosols but the quality wasn\'t assured.

Meguiars scratchX 2 is much better than the original, it has smaller particulates to break down.
T cut is quite harsh, but used wet it can be ok

I use Meguiars Ultimate compound - I find it very good, and it takes a bit more effort, but won\'t do any damage :)
I also use 3M Finnese-It and Perfect-It, but these need to be used with caution.

You will never remove a scratch, only put a radius on the edge of it, making it appear less obvious.

Meguiars Swirl remover and/or ultimate compound will sort out your small swirls in the clearcoat - and then be careful not to add more when you wash it, chamois it etc.

kiwi mick - I notice you\'re in Tonbridge??? If so, I\'d be more than happy to get together at some point, I have plenty of good compounds etc, and a wax wizard polisher ;)

This is my 323...

Depending on the type of scratch, its depth, the type of paint etc would determine the approach I\'d take.  I\'d have a look on the Detailing World (http://www.detailingworld.com/) forums - very useful.
