Post by: NeilSR on April 20, 2010, 10:11:35 AM
Fiddling on with the fc last night and Ive knackered it, dont know the name of the part so here\'s a pic, but was trying to swap the std dump valve for a hks one, and snapped the plastic t-piece off the bottom of the tube in the pic

What is it, and where can i get it? lol

If it\'s the plastic pipe with 2 outlets on it, then that\'s the main inducion pipe from the compressor outlet to the rubber elbow that goes into the intercooler.

I\'m pretty sure I have a spare -will have a looksie later today when I get cracking on the car again - you can have it for the price of postage :)

Its the plastic bit inbetween the two fastenings, but yeah that sounds like it, lol

Fantastic thankyou mate, just let me know

Need to try and get the car fixed, all the new bits in, mot\'d and tax\'d ready for rising sun car show, in about 2 and a half weeks time, lol

Not swapping it out, was trying to take out the rubber tube and snapped the connecting piece that the hose went onto, which would then connect to my hks dumpvalve

I have one if not, I\'ll let Dave look for his first. Its not that uncommon for those to snap there as mine did as well.

Just got in from packing away tools :( - bit more to do tomorrow and then it\'s done.  I\'ve found the piece - looks intact - will check it in the daylight tomorow though ;)

I recommend getting one of the Blitz or HKS hard pipes... those turbo pipes are notorious for breaking when your doing work on the inlet.

ahhhh makes more sense

my blitz one came with its own pipe ( metal )

i think i have 2 of the orig pipes in the garage somewhere ( its funny how we all keep what we take off and horde them forever )

At least I know where to come if I need any spares, lol

There shud be a list of spares that people have so its easier to contact people if something goes boobs up instead of having to put up wanted threads etc

What is your HKS one like? My blitz dual drive BOV replaced the whole plastic pipe with a nice shiny metal one lol

As far as I know it consists of 2 metal rings where the hoses go at each end and the rest is plastic lol

A dual drive blitz BOV has 2 ports, a small quiet one for low boost and a larger port for high boost :3gears-rh

Basically around town it doesn\'t really sound like you have an atmospheric BOV, but when you boot it, yes you know its working :rollin

All the ones that are over here and certainly all the ones I have seen are pretty much all plastic. To be honest I have never seen a metal one apart from aftermarket ones. Its not that hard to make your own, its an almost straight bit of pipe with the blowoff valve outlet.
