Title: COOLANT Quick Question....
Post by: waqas_RX7 on April 17, 2010, 09:30:53 PM
Basically brought my car off a guy of this forum, all his work was done previously by WGT, so he wasn\'t too sure what coolant they used to top it up with, and remember the AST has been removed.

I rang up WGT today and asked what they used on the car, and they told me to use a Decent 50 Water/ 50 Anti Freeze. Is this correct?

If so, what brand etc would you advise me to top it up with, would OEM be good?

Thanks :Thumbs-up

Bluecol, A bit hard to find but served me superbly for more than 45 years. (More than 25 years of that in 12A engines).

Recommended mix for UK normal latitudes is usually 40% antifreeze, 60% water. If you start to get into high concentrations of antifreeze the cooling effect in summer drops off.
