Title: clutch slave/master cylinder problems again...
Post by: rotorhead666 on May 16, 2004, 09:17:35 AM
does anyone else ever suffer my fb problem?when depressing the clutch and holding it in,it stays down and stalls the engine, which proved very unpleasant when it did it after pulling out of a junction and stopping across both lanes.it\'s ok if i lift the pedal up again with my toe.i thought the problem had been solved a couple of years ago when i had the slave and master cylinder replaced.if i remember correctly, the clutch fluid had gone gloopy.

certainly sounds like somthing is sticking, mybee take it off and see if it moves freely off the car, then work back towards the clutch if thats not a problem.

I had the same thing yesterday.  I went and picked up my new car :D :D   (very happy after waiting since Jan for one that never turned up from Japan).  Got stuck in traffic on the way home and went to change gear only to find that the gearstick wouldn\'t move and the clutch pedal was stuck to the floor.

If anyone has any ideas as to why it happens then I def want to know.  It was just a little embarrasing when there were loads of other cars around and I couldn\'t move! :o

happened to me today too, just once... had to use my foot to \'lift\' the pedal off the floor.
