Title: Group buy for heated Windscreen
Post by: AtomicRex on April 12, 2010, 03:48:24 PM
As already mentioned in a post on windscreens we are able to supply heated windscreens for the Rx7 1st Gen

So why use a heated screen??

Most find their heater matrix and blower don\'t clear the screen as fast as you would obviously want due to age.  And certainly for racing this offers the facility to run without a matrix saving weight.

The screens are designed to work in a similar way to the rear screen except they have a split in the matrix so that you can heat either side independently.

We use a national firm to have these fitted, so you needn\'t worry about expensive fitting costs.

We sell wiring kits for the cars so that you can guarantee the correct wires, relays, fuses and switches are used.

If you have a crack in your windscreen then we can claim through your policy on your behalf.

The screens are £205 + VAT (£240.88).  For the group buy I will discount this down to £175 + VAT (£205.63)

Delivery and fitting is £80+VAT (£94)

Wiring kits £65 + VAT (£76.38) less 10% on the group buy (£68.74)

This will be a one off, as there aren\'t that many 1st Gens running.  I will have 10 made if I can have firm orders for 8 of them.

By firm orders this will be either a 50% deposit on the screen or insurance details.  If we don\'t receive enough deposits then I will refund any monies.

I could well be up for one - my screen is a bit pooped, and I am hoping to get it replaced under the insurance...is this a possibility? I assume they\'ll tell me to go to autoglass, and I was going to refuse that, as they ruined a headlining on another "old" car when they fitted a screen earlier this year.
If I quote them the full price, including wiring etc... ;)

Whereabouts in Ireland are you??  Shipping is difficult due to its fragile nature, but I will see what options I have with the fitters.
