Cleaned out my dump values in an attempt to see if it was them causing the problem of my 0.5 boost. Took about two hours, hour of that was taking the dam valves off as they just didn\'t wanna budge. Got lots of junk out of it using a combination of compressed air and wd40.
So to the tune shop I go... gonna investigate to see if its a blocked/ knackered cat or a dodgy ecu..
who to take it to? that\'s the question
Well if its a cat I have one here im never going to use...
Have you changed the leads though? Might be that?
didn\'t need doing bud. They looked real good when the plugs got changed... weren\'t oranagy...
nah somethings causing this... its like it\'s limited.. and as the boost was set to peak at 0.5 bar when I plugged the boost gauge in, the previous owner knew about it before..
if it\'s a cream crackered cat, think i\'ll go for new ecu / downpipe etc rather than chuick another one in, thanks for the offer though mate, may take ya up on it
Am I right in thinking if the cat was fudged, you\'d get the heat light lots? if that\'s the case that\'s not happening..
It could be a nackard solinoid or split boost pipes , its worth checking the soliniods first though.
:)
think it\'s gonna have to go to a tuner ain\'t it..
gah.. oh well least it\'ll be sorted :-)
Take off your strut brace and theres a small black boost box thing under neath this check the pipes are all still connected.
yeah gonna do that this morning as a final check to see me thinks. Nice day to be working on it hehe
thanks for the suggestion bud
Right... I managed to get in and have a look at my vac hoses. Nothing looked odd to me, couldn\'t see anything hanging off anywhere, however I did notice there seemed to be a missing hose. Dunno if this is normal or anything.
I took a vid of what I found as someones borrowed my digicam at the mo. It\'s 17 meg (I know!) but good quality. Would someone mind having a look and tell me if everything I pointed out is normal :-)
