I have recently gone single turbo and have plumbed the fuel atomisation air feed line to the turbo compressor as diected in the single turbo conversion diagram.
Potential problem is this is also where I have my boost controller pressure line plumbed and the boost controller is not working correctly. Basically I want to disconnect the atomisation line to see if the boost controller then works rather than drill a new hole in my turbo in case it doesn\'t work.
Question is will the car run okay with the atomisation line disconnected? If so should it be capped or vented to atmosphere? Also does it have to be connected pre throttle as the diagram shows or can it be off the plenum and work okay?
Thank you
Lee
try it with it clamped? i cant remember where the fuel atomisation line is. actually if its the 3rd fuel line from the tank yes i can, mine just vents to the engine bay. would be interested to know who runs it and why? why not.
is it the one from the charcoal canister? if it is you can get rid of the lot. inc cannister.
Atomised fuel allows for both better combustion (fuel/air is mixed more) as well as arguably \'colder\' combustion (one litre of atomised fuel has a much bigger surface area to absorb heat than one litre of liquid fuel).
I\'m not convinced that removing it would make the car run better, in fact, could run worse.

if its the line going to the charcoal cannister how does that atomize fuel? am i thinking of something else? sorry for the hijack, my car runs 400hp fine without it

and more to the point. WHY does a fuel line go to the charcoal canister? :O
It\'s not the one that goes to the charcoal cannister - it\'s the one on the LIM with a horizontal nipple IIRC. Allows better atomization at idle. A good idea to keep it if you can.
As for the Carbon canister - it\'s the tank vent that goes through that, then chucks it into the intake manifold, via a pressure tank and solenoid, isn\'t it?
Trotter and SIH. Correct line! I only want to take it off temporarily to see if my boost controller then functions properly. If it does then I will connect the atomisation line with it\'s own seperate feed.
So it should be okay to this right? Question is do I ned to blank it or vent it? I am guessing blank it?
Also how come it has to be pre throttle because surely it will still see a vacuum at low rpm? as the turbo is not making positive pressure?? or am I wrong on that one?
Cheers

You can remove it, idle and low speeds will worsen. It is slight. With it connected you can run the idle a little bit leaner too...
Thank you.. It\'s only a temporary thing!

The small nipple under the bananas inside the LIM i run my Fuel pressure regulator to that as i was told it was the best vac source in the system. i didnt realise if you run turbo pressure to it it would help idle. am i being thick? i think i am
It\'s not that one dude - the FPR one you are talking about comes out vertically and is used by the stock FPR. If you are looking at the rear face of the LIM it\'s on the right.
Thge one we\'re talking about here comes out horizontally on the same plane as the mani, and is on the left.
