Post by: Dansrx7 on April 06, 2010, 07:13:24 PM
I have a 93 fd3s twin turbo what is standerd I\'m looking for 320 bhp I have a full hks exhaust waiting to go on and uprated air filters and apexi dump valve what ecu would do the job for me? I have seen knight sport and anemiya would these be a good upgrade if I have the car put on rolling road? Or do I need a apexi power fc? Were can I get good deal for ecu and mapped?

I would suggest for and FD you should look at a power FC as most tuners who tune FDs know about the power FC and there are lots of add ons for the FD.

as m1tch says the apexi power fc would be the best choice, all the tuners in the country can map this ecu, it is by far the most popular, and i think pretty well priced.  Also i would recommend getting it with the commander hand held controller as it lets you keep an eye on engine parameters such as water temp, air temp, boost, knock, injector duty etc etc the stock water temp gauge is crap and i realy wouldnt rely on it.

not sure about deal of ecu and mapped but powergains is nr wembly, jaydee and blitzboy map and they prob most local to you. think generally around £350 for initial map, then later on when u add more things to your car and need a remap, then mapping is by the hour? well, costs less cos you only have to tweek the map rather than make a whole new one. hth :)

I agree with the reading, basically if you see the OEM temperature gauge move above where it normally is, the engine has already overheated

exhaust setup, downpipe,decat,backbox.. uprated intercooler and aftermarket induction with the apexi Power FC can pull a nice safe 320bhp at the fly.
