Title: Single Turbo Fuel Pump problem
Post by: 7gabbo7 on April 01, 2010, 06:24:37 PM
my car at least started before i changed my standard fuel pump to a unit i bought off ebay. heres the link to it. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150340336780&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

its a DA-27 305LPH , a bosch 044 rival apparently.

however i installed it and the car would not start, it just keeps turning over. i can hear it priming and pumping and to be sure i hooked it up outside the tank and it pumps as it should but it will not allow the car to start. i then reinstalled my standard pump from the car but now it wont start the car!!! any ideas chaps?? i have an apexi ecu, standard injectors at the minute but it wont start however it did before i removed the standard pump.

Did you prime the pump by shorting GND and F/P on the diagnosis box?

Make sure the wires are the right way around. I purchased a brand new Walbro pump of ebay and they had got the pos and neg wires the wrong way around. Pump will run but not the right way. Simply swop them over, they can get it wrong sometimes.
