I\'ve been busy over the winter period refurbishing & reconditioning the underside of my Fb.It\'s been hard work, but i think it\'s worth it,the Fb\'s underside is now as good as it\'s bodywork.

did you take your photograph on my drive Stu?
they look stunning...the only black bits under mine are oil :(
It\'s good to see Fb\'s being restored to as new condition.
Seeing the work Ian has done & is still doing to his red & black Fb\'s,inspired me to do mine.
I\'m extremely pleased with the results,it\'s just a shame no one see\'s all the hard work & expense that\'s gone into it.
I should mention the main difference btw my work & Ian\'s,is that all the nuts & bolts are brand new from mazda on my car, where as Ian being a clever chap refurbished & zinc plated his own.
I\'ve also done the engine bay,all been refurbed & renewed,i\'ll get a pic up & see what u think?

Here\'s the engine bay of my Fb,tedious & hard work, but again worth the effort.
Great effort guys :god
Can\'t wait to see them at the shows :)
fair play to you Stu, you took the time to fit air con as well. Top work.
I assume you were inspired by the guy in Sydney who restored his from the ground up?

Your\'s looks just as good though! Did it come from Jersey originally?
Haha Ian,
Our Fb\'s do seem to have a lot in common.
Yes my Fb was originally from Jersey & i changed my sterling into Jersey pounds to buy it.
Yes several sources of inspiration, obviously yours & the sydney resto, hopefully it\'ll inspire others to fully restore their Fb\'s to showroom standard.
Its play time.........................
stunning and a credit to you, do you have pictures of the rest of the car?
:Thumbs-upWell done stu,looks fantastic.

Got mine out of the garage today, looks different to how I remember her, maybe just needs a wash and polish.

looks like it needs a starter motor to me.
And someone put the engine in the boot
Funny you should say that Ian, still not turned her over. Got the starter back though, but its still on the kitchen worktop. The 914\'s a runner though !!!

Just got the rear brakes to do then she\'s ready.
Have you got any other pics thats my favourite blend of Porsche?
The day I picked them up.

Ok I\'m a little jealous:chat
Good luck with the 914-don\'t think i\'ve ever seen one on road so that\'ll be a good sight.
That 911 makes me need a mop down:Giggle.....I\'d give my left and right nut for one that age/shape. Is it on the road? (aside from the starter not being on it)
very nice that looks awesome, wish i had the patience to do summit like that
Both cars have been stored for over 20 years, the 914 has 17k on the clock, the 911 has 20k. I have a friend who does house clearance and he put me onto them. There was also a 1958 roller in there. Both cars are in good condition but need lots of recommissioning work.
Amazing find mate, good luck with them.
They\'re superb Keith. You must wonder what to get stuck into first!
