my fc is booked for mot at 4pm (james is taking it down for me, not me). 1st time in 2 years.
last time i checked (and a couple of mechanics) her underside was quite rust free, just a little on the passenger side control arm or around that area.
be interesting to see the emissions lol
given its all good then i should be picking it up tomorrow :) vroom vroom :Giggle
PS love the new(ish) specsavers ad, the rip off of the LYNX advert where the girls run up to a man spraying deo then he puts his fugly glasses on and the girls stop and run the other way lol
(yes day time tele is really poo and nothing better to watch than tv ads lol)
Good luck Liam (with the MOT, not the Lynx effect lol), hopefully you\'ll be feelin the rotary lurrrrve very soon :Giggle
cool so the new fuel pump did the trick, which pump did u go for in the end?
Glad it\'s finally getting there mate I hope it passes ok, fingers crossed

any recommendations mark for what pump?
considering i might go for a GT35R / T04R size tub later on.
Go for a bosch 044 off Atomic with a fuel sock mod or a Denso OEM pump thats for a Supra TT ideal for a GT35R\\T04R
try and beat me 0.18% CO emissions :rollin
Good luck with the MOT mate. Well you\'ll probably know by now though. We need some new pic\'s when you pic it up.
Well did it pass
hmm.. just got call from james.
pretty much all the things that generally go wrong has not.
emissions, was 0% co (nice friendly mot\'er ;p)
just my engine mounts (would of thought the mounts would of been viewed / checked when taking / puttign engine in?) are shot and also diff mounts (explains the juddering on full lock?)
need to find the mounts and get swapped asap.
james aiming for end of week.
hey ho, more delays =(
was getting all excited then.
Doh :Hammer! Hopefully the end of this week, yeah?
Great news on the emissions though :)
Surely he should of known engine mounts were shot when he put the engine back in:xconfused
oh well nearly there whats a couple of days when youve already been waiting months:rolleyes:
good excuse to uprate the bushes in the mounts :)

my thought exactly
as the saying goes..
mokey see, mokey do :Giggle bit random.
thinking just try diy the suspension bushes some point then will feel whole new car :)
Gutted about the engine mounts - I\'m sure mine are pretty shagged, my downpipe rests on my downpipe!
See you out and about soon then? I\'m debating going and getting my diff welded this weekend if you want a road trip to Wycombe?
Just don\'t fit solid ones lol :rollin

road trip! lol
i might be picking it up on sat if james can get the mounts done by then.
Sounds good mate! I sure hope he has...
Sat I\'ll be Basingstoke way for the OCUK car meet - not in the rex though, in a mates Z4M.
Definitely see you soon though - when we can afford the petrol to meet up!
That will be good then if you are about Sunday I will come take a gander and see wot a year and half of work looks like :p
i\'ll be around in s\'set this weekend, just not sure which car. hope fc :)
well let me know at the weeeknd wot you are upto sunday and we shall meet up
Are you picking it up tommorow then?:3gears-rh
noo.. waiting for engine mount from tim (rxmotors) and waiting diff bushes. cant pass mot otherwise *sigh* :(
i thought i\'d have it back for brooklands but not so sure :(
brooklands only 4 weeks away.
Can\'t take four weeks to get that done, dude
Quote from: Nik da Greek;682392Can\'t take four weeks to get that done, dude
I wouldnt bank on it Nik shouldnt of taken best part of 18 months for the rest of it to have been done:Giggle
No, but I thought those responsible had finally woken up and started moving at an acceptable speed at last. Well, fast enough to see them move with the naked eye anyway
mot re-test on friday.
given it only \'failed\' on diff bushes and engine mounts and both have been replaced. i dont see there being a problem with the mot on friday.
knowing my luck, there will be another funky problem =/
good luck fingers crossed :Thumbs-up
How did it go mate? Is it time to pick it up at last?
passed mot, though the guy who did it last was not there so will have to wait til monday to get the mot cert. then james worried about the fpr 1:1.7 rising rate so he gonna put a sard one on then should be ready to go.
instead of \'will be ready next week\' its gone down to \'monday / tuesday\'
so judging by \'will be ready next week\' = 6 months.
\'mon/tues\' = 3 months!
¬.¬
Still its good news mate. Congrats.
ignore all the above, back to sq one.
i saw, i heard (sounds sweet :p) i left empty handed.
i\'ve given up talking about it now so will not update further.
ade: i have your pfc harness back. will give you a call monday(ish) to sort sth out with your kindness :)
Oh mate I don\'t know what to say. So close yet so far springs to mind. Soon you\'ll be blowing us all away with an awesome FC im sure.
No worries bud. I\'ll PM you my address. Just send it back and buy me a beer at Rotorstock or something.
As long as it is ready for us to drive to Brooklands next weekend! Give them that deadline mate. It\'s getting pretty ridiculous, I\'m no mechanic but would have finished off the last few jobs over a weekend for you (as you know)...!
