Title: Jap-spec FDs / AWS and the intake elbow...
Post by: Aubec on March 16, 2010, 12:47:28 PM
Can anyone confirm whether or not the japanese FD\'s have the Accelerated Warm up System (AWS)? If not, does that mean there is no hose connection on the rear of their intake elbows?

Reason I ask is that I\'m deleting the AWS from my UK car, and need to plug the big hole on the intake elbow that it connects to. I\'m tempted to just buy a jap elbow of someone who is breaking their Rex if they dont have the opening as that will look tidier.

Cheers!

not sure what you are talking about here, but the srock compression elbow (the section that bolts to the throttle body & joins to the IC), has a bunged feed by the bulkhead..... I did think about fitting my BOV there when I was running the stock elbow! if you need it let me know as it\'s in the garage tucked away, make me an offer if your interested.

Just what I wanted to know!  Thanks guys.

I\'ll bung it for the moment and look out for a 96 or later elbow.
