I have to get my RX7 rebuilt as its water seal has decided to fail on me. Just wondering apart from the basic rebuild what other things are essential to change while the engine is out. I know this could go on for quite a bit but I\'m on a budget of around £4000 (expecting the rebuild to be £2750 which was quoted by Jimmy). I am having the clutch changed but to prolong the life of the rex\'s new rebuilt engine what else should I consider changing?

have it ported while its being rebuild if your running an aftermarket ecu.
Make sure the you get a pellet for the oil so it can circulate when the engine is cold.
Any power goals or plans for use of the car, that will normally give us more ideas
Maybe rebuild it yourself if its just water seal failure, Prof has rebuilt his, cost him about £500 plus a few shiny AN fittings, gives you £3500 to spend on porting work done and a clutch :D
