As per my other thread.. can this be done with the engine in place? I imagine a jack under the engine to raise it a little.. Under the mounts at both ends and rotate them out?
I am thinking of getting some PU or Nylon ones made to reduce the movement I currently get!
I guess running stiffer mounts normally means the engine will sit a little higher as the mounts won\'t crush as much or have they catered for that in the ones you can buy off the shelf?

Yes fairly easy to change them in situ, think the drivers side is more tricky..
Forget solid type mounts unless you enjoy vibration etc, this includes some heavy Nylon ones as I have experienced
Thanks for the info.. So PU at least then? I gather Delrin is a bit less harsh than Nylon but essentially still solid? I was thinking a heavy shore PU?
Or I just get a meaty engine brace made up and leave the bushes as is?

Personally I would just get the \'newer\' style mounts if you have the older ones, and you will be fine.
I hate any noise, rattle, knock, vibration etc, and most of these so called upgrades produce some form of unpleasantries with little or no gain to be had.
There is no reason why some good new standard mounts won\'t give you the same benefit as these \'aftermarket types\', and also out last them too.......
Whats your reason for changing them anyways..
Cheers for info.. Where can I get replacement stock ones??
I wouldn\'t mind stiffening it up a bit though. Bascially I have a monstor single turbo conversion and the turbo has very little clearance on the chassis rail and hits it when you accelerate or corner hard! I am looking at an engine brace too but I would say the engine movement is excessive.. You can wobble it about easy in the engine bay with little force!

Hockey puck engine mounts FTW!
FTW?? Are you saying hockey pucks can actually be used? If they are made of a suitable material and size I guess they could be but I have never paid much attention to one!
