I am going to keep on at this guy in america about the Carbon ones. I\'ll see if he is willing to make a batch of say 10? I\'ll buy them and sell them on then??

I have a greddy dual pod gauge....but like the rest just made of black plastic.  I don\'t know of any that are made for the RX7 in carbon, but you can get universal ones, but fitment might be crap.....

Title: Carbon for???
Post by: Schtoo on May 13, 2004, 03:31:27 PM
Looks or lightweight?

Looks I am guessing.

Anyway, I know I saw some adhesive backed, flexible Carbon sheets (actual CF, not that printed crap) that you might be able to cover a regular plastic jobbie to get that carbon appearance you desire.

If I stumble across it, I\'ll link you up. I lost alot of bookmarks after a system re-install, and am still missing an awful lot of really nice links I had bookmarked.

Would stick on CF be suifficient?

I have a load of Carbon weave sat at home. What I might do is wait till my car arrives and take the A-pillars off, make some moulds and start producing them in real carbon.

The stick on real stuff is OK but can start to peal after a year or 2.

I can\'t understand why a highly tunable car such as the rex that you can buy almost anthing for and no one does carbon A-pillars for them.

In my last car I made almost the complete dash from carbon rather than buying one of the stick on kits you can buy, that look stuck on.

Its a horrid job but I suppose getting it right is all that matters :D

Weights always a good thing too loose as well in any car ;)
